GGD: KEMPER PACK
A short and refreshing collaboration with Get Good Drums to create a Product package cover for their new Amps package.
The brief was fairly open and simple: illustrate a handful of Amplifiers in 8-bit sprites, and add them to the provided product template!
I always had great fun doing Pixel Art illustrations on the side and saw this small project as an opportunity to do it in a more serious manner.

The selected Amps were created from scratch using Aseprite and Photoshop.
THE PROCESS
Frontal views vs Perspective, Small vs High Pixel Density, Pixels vs Voxels?
Due to the short-term nature of the project, and since Pixel Art can become quite laborious depending on the amount of detail, the illustration style had to be decided right away, the most efficient way was to create a medium-to-short pixel density illustration of the amplifier's frontal view.
